We all fantasize about escape sometimes. For me, it’s to rural France living a charmed life in a chateau. And ever since discovering Jamie Beck of Ann Street Studio (see my earlier work inspired by her here) and her life in Provence work that includes photographing different chateaus, I’ve been living vicariously through her.
So, when we were in Cebu last week with my visiting friend Luis of @valhalla_photography (who I met in Paris while he’s in transit for a lengthy stay in Normandy where he had a chance to actually look at chateaus), I thought that we might as well prepare for that time in the future (who knows? 🤷🏻) when we can actually fulfill this dream of visiting different chateaus in South of France and photographing them as a team (sneak in my lavender and sunflower dreams shoot of course, 😅), I couldn’t help but use this gorgeous villa I found through hostelworld.com as a testing ground. Hehe.
If you ever need a delightfully quiet to stay for a night or two in Cebu city while in transit to their other amazing locations ( Check out my IG pics for updates and P.S. I’m really starting to love this province as opposed to my Pap’s hometown where Boracay is. Oops!), I can’t recommend this picture-perfect villa enough. It is not that far from the airport and has a nearby walkable mall for whatever you need. Friendly staff is also a plus for backpackers like us (ok, maybe just my friend and I’m not, lol!) or fine, let’s just change it to hostel dwellers. Haha. And please be patient enough for the travel photos, as it’s taking forever to process them with drone and GoPro videos. Stay tuned. 😊
