Lately, I find myself pinning bridal dresses. It’s not because my wedding is soon to come (puhr-lease?!?! *snorts*) but I blame it on the various topics about it in some online magazines that I am currently subscribed to (imagine about 10 different styles of wedding dress per post, ugh!) I think there’s nothing so unusual about it given how meticulous I am when it comes to styles and everything. I mean, it’s good to have a folder just for reference in the future. Right? So why do I find myself feeling guilty and defending this behavior? Haha.
Every little girl dreams of her wedding day. I’m sure you’ve heard of that. But this wasn’t the case for me. I certainly didn’t develop that dream when I watched Cinderella as a kid marrying her prince. And while I do have a soft spot for Prince Harry and Meghan who just got married lately, there was still nary a vision of me in that white dress as I see the bride walk the aisle towards the groom. If it counts though, there was one weird time this vision occurred to me while on a yoga meditation. But don’t get me wrong, I DO love weddings! Maybe it’s just not possible anytime in the near future given the current state of affairs. Lol.
Little girls with dreams become women of vision. It’s just kind of a bummer that sometimes when you think about that “current state of affairs” (or lack thereof) and you see this quote associated in wedding planning websites, you’d kinda blame yourself for not having that vision while young. Lol. But it’s just plain ridiculous. It’s a good thing that the web is also chock full of similar ” “individuals like me who went on with their weddings just fine. Seriously, find your tribe on the net and don’t feel bad about yourself. And to end this post, here’s a long white dress post for this ramble. Haha.
P.S. In that same website, they always have article of what engagement/ wedding rings are on trend. Never dared to click on any of them articles. Lol.
