A little more than 7 years ago, I could still remember myself complaining what the royal wedding buzz (William and Kate) was all about. As one blogger/ friend kindly pointed out via comment in the now-extinct blog post, it’s that intense curiosity in a world that we’ll never get to experience and that real-life prince finding her princess. Not that I was enlightened in this comment then but fast-forward to six years and there I was, swept up by Harry and Meghan in 2018.
First of all, the takeaway here is, people change. There’s no need to judge them so quickly, lol. But the real reason for that change came in the name of my new girl crush – Meghan Markle. It’s always been the Markle Factor and I don’t need to elaborate why. Or maybe I will. There’s actually too much negativity/ sad news this week to be writing a weekend reading so… I’m actually writing this post as a prelude to another post where I will be highlighting her style. If you’ve been following along in my IG stories, by now you should be aware how the duchess’ style and yours truly have been quite similar through the years! In this regard, I’d like to consider myself an expert on this subject matter which sort of justifies the next post so stay tuned for that.
As for this orange strap dress, is this MM-approved? Pre-duchess day perhaps? We all know how the duchess prefers elegant necklines compared to strappy ones now though in some occasions she was also seen in a strappy maxi dress. One thing sure though, the fit and length of this surely has her stamp of approval. As for the color? Orange is predicted to be a strong color this F/W 2019 but I guess we have to find out if this is going to be another one of those Meghan-Cassey outfit similarities in the future. *wink*
