Well, well, well. You start wanting something and the universe conspires to make it happen right? Lol. I’ve already heard about Rihoas before and ever the curious one, a quick check of their website already told me that they exactly have the pieces that fits my aesthetic. In fact, if you read their tagline “Elegant with Retro Charm”, images of old Hollywood muses instantly come up to mind. And those are what exactly I have found upon browsing their selection.
So when they wanted a collaboration, I couldn’t pass up on the chance to again build my beigic-creamic wardrobe. For this particular post, I curated three pieces from their selection that proves their style is just perfect for any occasion. Check out my review of these pieces below. As always, all the products are linked and a surprise code is waiting at the bottom of the post. 😊
Formal: Tie Strap Maxi Dress
Relax! Nobody got married. Lol! 😂 But if you happen to be browsing for affordable pieces for a minimalist civil wedding, well then this Rihoas dress may just be the perfect one for you. It’s too minimal almost too simple until you started tying that organza straps on your shoulders and you start feeling like a princess already. It’s amazing how such tiny detail can add so much more to the dress! 🎀 It also felt silky and luxurious while wearing and just has that right length for an elegant feel. On the way to the hotel in a car, I was thinking the dress might already be wrinkled by the time I take the pictures. Surprisingly, it’s that type of clothing that doesn’t crumple easily! I was actually pleasantly surprised by that. 👏 The slim fit is also guaranteed to make the dress look flattering for any size. 👌

Corporate: Jacquard Jacket
I’ve always like always wanted to own a tweed jacket! I mean, Coco Chanel didn’t start it for nothing right? It’s elegant, it’s timeless, it’s iconic and I can rave about it all day long. And I’m super glad to have found this elegant white jacket from Rihoas. It surely captured that Chanel feels with its pearl buttons and gold detailing. It’s perfect add-on for workwear whether pants, skirt or to cover up a sleeveless jumpsuit. But in this particular moment, I kind of feeling giving it some Blair Waldorf vibes with a mini skirt and headband. Watch out how I’m gonna style this again in my future posts. 😉

Casual: Embroidered Maxi Dress 👗
Even for casual occasions, I love putting on a maxi dress. And if you’re like me, can I recommend this embroidered button-down dress from Rihoas? I actually got mixed reactions when I once wore this. A friend told me I’m giving off Maria Clara vibes (for non-Filipinos, she’s a traditional feminine ideal) while the other one told me it reminded her of Mexican prints. 🇲🇽 In any case, I’m sure that this dress will for sure be a conversation-starter every time you wear it. My personal favorite in this dress is the low neckline but when modesty calls for it, it is always easy to put on an inner tube top.
